Vale Veterinary Centre prides itself on offering exceptional veterinary care and an unrivalled service whether at our surgery or at your home. 24 hours a day. We are a local, independent family run business where your pet is guaranteed continuity of care from our team of vets and nursing staff. Our aim is to provide a unique and bespoke service to deliver a standard of care and service we believe will allow us to stand apart in the care your pet may currently be receiving.

Richard Williams was awarded ‘Vet of the Year’ 2016/17 by PetPlan, the number one pet insurance provider which was voted for by the public. Vale Veterinary Centre have also continued the incredible success of the Practice by scooping 3 of the 8 awards for vets all over the UK in the VetPlus annual awards in London (Nov 2017).

PRACTICE APPOINTMENTS

See one of our highly trained veterinary staff at one of practices in Barry or Pontcanna. If you would like to book an appointment then please contact us. Please check our normal hours of operation before booking a routine appointment. If we feel your pet needs to be attention as an emergency during normal working hours then you will be seen immediately, regardless of appointment availability.

HOME VISITS

Have your pet examined in the comfort of your own home. If you have transport difficulties or you would simply prefer to have your pet examined in the comfort of your own home then please contact the surgery to arrange a home visit. The additional charge applied for a home visit is calculated on a ‘distance from the surgery’ scale and potential for out of hours attendance.

EMERGENCY SERVICE

In an emergency, have your pet seen by one of our on call vets out of hours. If you are concerned about your pet outside of the normal hours of operation then please contact the surgery as normal and follow the automated instructions. The on call vet will decide if your pet needs to be seen immediately as an emergency or the following day during normal working hours. The vet will also discuss a home visit versus meeting at the surgery. Please note that additional charges will apply for services offered outside of normal working hours. Normally this service is available for owners registered with the practice but you may register at the time of making an appointment if the practice has registrations available

Our specialist therapies include hydrotherapy, laser therapy and digital radiology. 

Recovery & Rehab

With a bank of kennels on site, your pet will be cared for by our team in our post operative care unit.

Laser Therapy

The constant upgrading of practice standards and equipment has recently required the introduction of the very latest high tech laser surgery systems permitting a far greater range of surgical techniques and minimising tissue damage and aiding a more rapid recovery for your pet. This laser is unique to the practice.

Xrays

We offer immediate access to x-rays with the use of our state of the art digital radiology equipment, digital ultrasound scanner and haematology profile analyser.
