This story began in 1967, when Tim’s Grandfather, affectionately known to to Tim as “Wally”, opened his showroom on City Road Cardiff, known then as “the road of a thousand cars”.

A true petrol-head, he had spent his whole life around cars and realised his dream career upon opening W J Hayward Car Sales Ltd.

Spending 20 years trading in the same location until his retirement, with Tim’s father working closely with him, it’s no surprise that in turn,

Tim’s father, who was, and still is, a self-confessed petrol-head, took to the same trade as Wally.

This is the point our story begins.

Tim quickly developed the same interest in cars as both his father and grandfather, and from a young age he knew he wanted to follow in their footsteps.

Fast forward to the present day, still a petrol-head from head to toe, with a lifetime of experience, and product knowledge, Tim proudly displays his name above the doors of a company who understands the exciting, yet stressful process of purchasing a used car.
