Strong Rock Photography was established 12 years ago and specialises in wedding, modelling, children & family, event and head-shot photography, and much more. We approach every shoot with a tremendous amount of creative energy, technical expertise, and attention to detail to produce exceptional images that never fail to delight. 

Thanks to our significant experience, we utilise our precise sense of timing, high-end photographic equipment and sharp eye for catching extraordinary moments that consistently impresses our clients.

We’re VERY passionate about what we do! We’re very friendly and chatty and over the years we’ve developed our own style of photography. We shoot in both traditional and documentary style to record your dream day, usually veering towards the latter more candid approach. We do our best to put you at ease, helping you to feel natural and relaxed in front of the camera. We love to capture those moments that you may have missed. The joy, the tears, the glances and kisses, telling your beautiful love stories for years to come. We truly believe that we offer an excellent service at an affordable price.

WE’RE JASON AND PEARL AKA STRONG ROCK.

We’re a couple and have been together for an amazing 12 years.

Before we even met, we had the same outlook on life. Over the years, we’ve both regularly donated blood and given our time, support, and energy to voluntary organisations. We continue ‘’doing our bit’’ by helping others and spreading a little kindness where we can.

We love spending time together and having fun. We especially love going on staycations and traveling abroad. We’re both passionate SCUBA divers and have been lucky enough to dive in some stunning locations around the world. 

On one of our trips, a few years ago, we were sitting on a sunny Moroccan terrace when we decided we needed a name for our photography business. After much racking of our brains and a few mojitos, we realised that the answer was staring us in the face; thanks to our French surname, which is Rochefort. 

Rochefort means strong rock in French. We had found our brand name and Strong Rock was born!

Following the pandemic, we realised that life is too short, and we wanted to spend as much time as possible together. We needed to make some BIG changes. And what better way, than getting to spend each day together, doing what we genuinely love to do (and getting paid for it).  

Pearl has always been a key part of the photography business. Weekends, she’s usually busy videoing weddings and the evenings she spends editing them; all the while holding down her salaried, and challenging at times role in the third sector.  

Pearl decided it was the right time to join the business on a permanent basis and like everything else she does, she has jumped in with both feet.

We feel very fortunate to have jobs which we feel very passionate about. Working together doesn’t EVEN feel like work most of the time.

We’re a very laid back, straightforward couple who do not take ourselves too seriously. We’re really friendly and chatty and over the years we have developed our own style of photography. We can shoot in both traditional and documentary style to record your dream day, usually veering to the latter more candid approach. This means we tend to work in the background, mingling and blending in with your wedding guests.

We realise that feelings can sometimes run high on such an emotionally charged day. We do our best to put you at your ease, helping you to feel natural and relaxed in front of the camera. We love to capture those candid shots, those special unseen moments of laughter, tears, glances and kisses, sealing magical memories for years to come.

We want your day to be magical, to naturally flow around you. So, keeping it simple, goes a long way. 

Your wedding day is a day that you’re going to remember for as long as you live. Your wedding photos are an investment, a keepsake of your joyous day.

Having said that, we believe that the whole wedding industry is extortionately overpriced. Anything which has the word ‘’wedding’’ attached to it, as a customer you’re expected to fork out over the odds for it. 

We know there are many moving parts to a wedding, things cost money and these costs soon add up. 

We truly believe that we offer an excellent service at an affordable price without having to inflate our prices to include that wedding premium.
