A FOURTH GENERATION FAMILY BUSINESS

The original business was established at Aberaeron in 1966 under the name of the founders AS Thomas & Sons. Today there are four businesses under the control of Huw Thomas and Nest Evans (grandson and granddaughter of the founder). Sion Evans, great grandson is now the operations manager, based at Aberaeron. These are MGM (Myrddin Garden Machinery) at Carmarthen, AM Garden Services at Aberaeron, Cantre Mobility at Aberaeron and Carmarthen and Compton Distribution at Aberaeron

In 1975 the company opened a small branch at Pensarn, Carmarthen. By 1978 we had outgrown these premises and moved to Abergwili Road. We relocated to our present address in 1997.

The business specialized in quality garden machinery from the outset and rapidly gained an enviable reputation for after sales service. This remains the core of the business today and every machine offered for sale comes with the assurance that all servicing or maintenance will be carried out by our own engineers.

Today, the main franchises held are Atco, Honda, Husqvarna, Maruyama, Stiga and Stihl

How to Buy

After browsing our web site and identifying suitable products please visit our showroom where you can ascertain the physical size, weight and features of the product(s) most suitable for your needs. Our friendly staff will offer advice on suitability, product performance and value for money.Ride-on mowers, tractors and commercial machinery come with free delivery and installation within our operating area – Carmarthenshire, Pembrokshire, Ceredigion and Brecon & Radnor. This is to ensure that we can provide on-going product support in future.. All other powered products – buy and collect in-store only.

SERVICE POLICY

We will provide professional servicing and repairs for all equipment supplied by us. By agreement we may also accept non-stocked products supplied by others for service and repair.
Our technicians are fully trained by the manufacturers/importers of the products we sell.
Only genuine parts will be used when available. Any other parts required will be sourced from reputable suppliers.
All parts replaced will be retained for inspection by the customer.
Customers will be kept informed of progress and any additional costs for extra work required.
Customers will be provided with detailed invoices explaining all work carried out and spare parts used.
In the event of any complaint regarding our servicing and repairs we will at all times try to resolve any issues by mutual consent.
