Mama Baby Bliss

MamaBabyBliss was founded in 2006 by Justina Perry with the sole purpose of supporting mothers, babies and mums-to-be throughout their pregnancy and motherhood.

After having her first daughter Natasha, Justina suffered from postnatal depression. During this difficult phase she experienced first-hand, the benefits of baby massage in bonding with her baby. Following the birth of her second daughter Alana, Justina was made redundant and having never forgotten her own experience of early motherhood, she was inspired to set up MamaBabyBliss to help support mothers on their journey into motherhood.

Beginning with only Justina’s baby classes and pregnancy treatments in North London, her classes and treatments became so popular with mums that they soon expanded into a curriculum of 11 classes and workshops and pregnancy and new mum treatments to support mums and their babies from pregnancy to when their babies are three-years-old.

In 2010, having read an article that the biggest number of redundancies in the UK were part-time working mothers, Justina decided to develop a Teacher Training Programme and Franchise, which would enable women to become a MamaBabyBliss teacher and run their own licensed business to work around their family’s needs. Today we have a network of teachers offering hundreds of MamaBabyBliss classes nationwide.

We are passionate about supporting the NHS and the amazing work that the perinatal mental health teams do. Since 2016, we are very proud to have trained over 70% of the Mother & Baby Units and community teams in the UK in baby massage, baby yoga and gentle massage techniques so that they can support the mothers, babies and mothers-to-be in their care. In 2013, again to ensure that mums and mums-to-be were pampered in all aspects of their wellbeing, Justina developed a MamaBabyBliss Pregnancy Massage Training Course which enables our Affiliate Salons and Therapists to offer pregnancy and new mum treatments nationwide. We now have over 100 salons nationwide offering pregnancy and postnatal treatments.

Alongside the classes and treatments, MamaBabyBliss offers a 100% natural skincare range and products such as birthing balls and CDs that have been uniquely and expertly created to nurture babies, new mums and mums-to-be from pregnancy, to birth and beyond. The maternity gifts and pregnancy products have since been nominated for and won many awards, but most importantly they have been enjoyed by thousands of mums, babies and mums-to-be.

Our mission at MamaBabyBliss is to nurture ALL parents and babies and to ensure that EVERY mother and baby is supported in the UK. In 2014 the our Charitable Foundation was launched, which aims to bring the benefits of what we offer into communities that wouldn’t have access. Every year we celebrate MamaBabyBlissful Week during which we will be raising funds for the Foundation.

Since MamaBabyBliss launched in 2006, the company has won numerous awards and in 2014 Justina Perry received the ‘Mum and Working Award’ for Most Inspiring Business Parent. She is also regularly featured on BBC Radio and in the press including this article in the Huffington Post, plus she has appeared on BBC television.
