Grind was founded in 2011 when David Abrahamovitch took over his father’s Shoreditch mobile phone shop and decided to turn it into a café-bar. In the decade since, Grind has grown to become a cult east London coffee brand, comprising eleven locations, including espresso bars, cocktail bars, restaurants, an international-grade recording studio, and a state-of-the-art coffee roastery.
Growing up.
Still based in Shoreditch, we now employ over three-hundred people and the majority of our investors over the years have been our Grind regulars and friends across the world.

Grind at Home lets you bring Grind coffee home – all the way from their state-of-the-art London coffee roastery. Sourced from across the world at better-than-Fairtrade prices, the whole range is certified organic by the Soil Association – which means no pesticides, chemicals or solvents, and the range, and all it’s packaging is entirely compostable.
The latest addition to the collection are the compostable Nespresso® pods, named by Which?™ magazine as a ‘Best Buy’ product, having been the UK’s very first completely compostable coffee pods. Grind’s Nespresso® compatible coffee pods are made entirely from bio-plastic and when composted, they’ll break down in weeks. The prices for the Nespresso® pods start from £10 for 20 pods.
Grind serves around two million cups of coffee each year, and a cup of our coffee is now enjoyed at home every five seconds.
Our stocklists.
