Established in 1985, the firm ‘John Savage Accountancy’ has now been in business for approximately 30 years. As from 1st January 2016 the practice was incorporated and now operates as John Savage Accountancy Ltd, with directors John Savage and Emma Savage.

The firm offers a complete spectrum of accountancy services, with the exception of auditing, to small and medium sized businesses.

We specialise in Sage Accounting, and can offer assistance ranging from helping you set up your own Sage systems to undertaking all your book-keeping requirements by ourselves in-house. Sage is one of the leading brands of accounting software in the UK, and thousands of small and medium sized businesses are using it.

We also offer help and advice with day to day VAT, income tax, corporation tax and National Insurance problems and queries which crop up. These important matters can, if wrong decisions are made, cost businesses a great deal of money in back tax claims, penalties and interest. It is vitally important to get your tax liabilities right, as HM Revenue & Customs have draconian powers to both get at the information they require and assess what they believe is owed.

Payroll services can be undertaken in-house on your behalf.

From either your records, or the records we can draw-up on your behalf, we will complete and present your accounts information to you, normally annually. Your personal, partnership or corporate tax returns are also undertaken using the well established and excellent Taxcalc accounts and tax software, and electronically filed.

Whilst we generally deal with business clients, we are also happy to assist those private clients who have tax returns to complete. These would include those who are higher rate earners in employment, people with investment income who are required to complete tax returns, and indeed, anyone who has a tax problem or simply need to speak to someone regarding their tax affairs.
