My Father was born in Vittoria Street in the Birmingham Jewellery Quarter in 1929 and delivered Gold wire on the handlebars of his bike to the 100’s of Victorian workshops as well as acting as a ‘runner’ ‘gofor’. His brother was the General Manager for the largest Horologists Materials Company in the UK so I had Jewellery in my genes so to speak.
After several positions with Multiple and Independent Jewellers we opened our first store in the wonderful town of Leominster, Herefordshire in 1982 and after an amazing four years we sold it to the Head Buyer of H Samuel after an unsolicited offer.
Having lived near Aberystwyth for over 36 years and having our two children educated in Welsh and now with five wonderful grandchildren we have decided to invest our knowledge into our new Jewellery Designer Aberystwyth store and website.
‘Not your average Jeweller’ our aim is to offer Precious Jewellery from known and lesser known brands together with our mix of David Gilbert Jewellery. Add to this a fine repair service, Valuations for Insurance & Probate and you have a wonderful service – we simply love it when our customers are thrilled – we welcome your visit!
