MEET THE TEAM

Giles Birt

Owner and Principal

Son of the firm’s founder, Charles Birt, Giles joined the family business in 1988 and took over as Principal following Charles’ retirement in 2000.

Giles has a degree in Urban Estate Management, and is a Professional Associate of The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.

He was born in Tenby. Apart from his school and college years – and a stint working in Bristol with a London-based commercial surveying practice – Giles has lived in the famous seaside town.

Outside of work, Giles’ interests include skiing, mountaineering, cycling and most activities that involve being outdoors.

He has climbed Mont Blanc and Kilimanjaro, and has recently completed an expedition in Nepal, climbing three 6000+ metre peaks!.

Giles’ favourite thing about living in Tenby is being able to finish work on a summer’s evening and be on a beautiful beach, enjoying a barbecue and watching the sun go down, within 20 minutes of leaving the office.

HUW BRIDGES

Property Manager

Huw worked for Lloyds Bank for 25 years and has lived in Tenby since he was seven, when his father became the town’s Rector. Huw has worked for Birt & Co. since 2014.

After not doing any sport since his schooldays, Huw completed his first full Ironman Triathlon in Tenby in 2015 and shed five stone during the training process.

He has gone on to complete further Ironman events in Barcelona and Wales again. He is also an ex-Chairman of Tenby Football Club.

Married with three children, Huw loves Tenby’s relaxed pace of life, the warm welcome it offers to visitors and newcomers, and its beautiful coastline.

JULIETTE LEES

Residential Letting Agent

A native of Manorbier, Juliette spent her childhood running wild on the beach and exploring the castle.

She has worked at Birt & Co. since 2012 and is passionate about travelling and natural history.

She has visited Africa, Asia, South America, New Zealand, Australia and the Galapagos Islands. She also spent time with a head hunter tribe in the Borneo jungle.

At home in Pembrokeshire, Juliette loves walking, cooking Indian, Mexican and Moroccan cuisine, and gardening. She describes Tenby as a wonderful part of the world to live in, and says the locals have a really good sense of humour.

She also says Pembrokeshire’s beaches are almost impossible to beat.
